About Distinctive Home Solutions
Distinctive Home Solutions is  a culmination which resulted from taking my formal education and managerial experience and combining them with my enjoyment of creating and working with my hands.  I believe that it is my passion for the job which distinguishes my work from otthers.  I strive for perfection and I offer my services for a competitive price.  In addition
to serving home owners directly, I also offer my services to other contractors.  Contractors who recognize my value are able to control their over head and labor costs and still have access to the skills and quality work which I can provide.
Even after twenty years I approach each project as a new challenge and I always try to make at least one observation on every job so I can use that information for future reference.  Unlike new construction, remodeling requires a much broader skill set including the ability to think on the fly and alter plans to adapt to each unique circumstance.  Because the home owner deals directly with me , we can make these changes more smoothly and with less confussion.
I make a concerted effort to leave each customer satisfied.  A satisfied customer is often the best form of advertising which can lead to new or repeat business.  In an effort to better serve my customers, this year I hope to experiment with the feasibility of adding handi-services to the company resume.

I was born and raised in a small town, on the outskirts of New York City, named Scarsdale.  I am one of nine children and it was in this family environment that I learned about the importance of hard work, honesty, and integrity.
I graduated from IONA College in New Rochelle and received a diploma with the degree of  Bachelor of  Business Administration.  Upon
graduation, I worked for a couple of companies in a managerial capacity.  Inspite of financial success, promotions and adventurous relocations, I found that I did not particularly enjoy the work.
In 1990, I moved to Pennsylvania so that I would be closer to friends and family.  I took a summer job as a carpenters assistant  until I could get situated and find something else... or so I thought.  It turns out that I loved the job and I had a real "knack" for this stuff.  I could not afford to remain in an entry level position for long.  My managerial experience, organizational skills, and natural talent eventually allowed me to run and over see the jobs as a lead carpenter.  I knew then that if I enjoyed the work and I could run a successful company for others, I should be able to do it for myself.
